・認知言語学・談話分析
政治的なスピーチを主な対象として、レトリックやメタファーの効果を談話分析および認知言語学の視点から分析しています。レトリックや文体に注目することで、言葉がいかに社会的・文化的背景に根ざしているかを明らかにすることができます。これまでは、特にアメリカ大統領の演説におけるメタファーの機能に焦点を当てて研究を行ってきました。今後は、レトリックと談話の関係性を日英比較の観点からも検証し、より幅広い視野で研究を進めていきたいと考えています。
Rhetoric / Metaphor/ Cognitive linguistics / Discourse analysis
My research focuses on the analysis of rhetorical and metaphorical effects in political speeches, drawing on approaches from discourse analysis and cognitive linguistics. I have examined the functions of metaphors in presidential speeches, and I am currently expanding the scope of my research to include comparative analyses of socio-cultural discourse in English and Japanese.
